The wild population of Tasmanian Devils have reduced by 70% since 1996, which is when people noticed that they were spreading a new, fast-killing cancer, whenever they bite each other's faces.
Scientist Elizabeth Murchison, now thinks they have a handle on the disease, which was written up in the latest issue of Science (ppv, $15) and summarized for free by the Associated Press.
