Ohioans Like to Plagiarize

On Tuesday, State Rep. Mike Skindell, a lawyer, was accused of lifting a paragraph about Asian carp from the EPA website without attribution in a letter, he publicly sent to the Ohio Governor and Attorney General, which was also signed by 13 of his legislative colleagues.

When confronted, Mr. Skindell says that the 60 words are a "commonly used description of a carp" and "it’s throughout everything you read", while an academic says that the source should have been revealed and another invoked Joe Biden.

This is at least the second accusation of plagiarism concerning an Ohio public official in as many years.
