  • A Key West family will get an artificial white Christmas courtesy of the Weather Channel.

  • "Larry the Cable Guy" has donated $1.2 million to build a children's wing onto a Nebraska rehabilitation hospital. He was moved to make the act by a video, the hospital distributed.

  • Four sisters, including a Marine are launching a support website for the 13,000 active-duty, female Marines.

  • Sen. Robert Byrd has asked the EPA Administrator to develop clear rules governing the issuance of mining permits. Currently, 79 projects are in some state of limbo and the request is part of his continuing efforts on the subject.
